Aluminium 1100 is a commercially pure aluminium alloy that contains at least 99.0% aluminium. It offers outstanding corrosion resistance, especially in chemical and atmospheric conditions, along with high thermal and electrical conductivity. While it has relatively low strength, with a typical tensile strength ranging from 90 to 130 MPa and a yield strength of about 35 to 70 MPa depending on the temper, Aluminium 1100 is not heat-treatable but responds well to cold working.
