This unique combination gives the material its remarkable superelastic and shape memory properties. Nitinol exhibits a tensile strength ranging from 895 to 1900 MPa and a yield strength between 195 and 690 MPa, depending on its condition. It can undergo up to 8% strain without permanent deformation, returning to its original shape after stress removal.
