Stainless Steel 316H is a high-carbon version of 316, containing 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum. The added carbon boosts its strength at higher temperatures while maintaining excellent corrosion resistance. Typically, it boasts a tensile strength of 515–720 MPa and a yield strength of 205–275 MPa, with an elongation of around 40%. Its hardness falls between 150–200 HB. The material’s ability to resist pitting, crevice corrosion, and oxidation in high-temperature conditions makes it ideal for critical applications, ensuring structural integrity and performance even in harsh chemical and marine settings.
