Tantalum R05200 bars and rods contain 99.95% minimum pure tantalum with trace elements such as oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, carbon, and iron at less than 0.01%. The bars have excellent mechanical properties that include tensile strength of 207-345 MPa, yield strength of 140-275 MPa, and elongation of 25-50%. The density is 16.6 g/cm³, and the melting point is approximately 2996°C, which makes it highly thermostable. Tantalum R05200 exhibits a hardness around 90–120 HV along with excellent ductility, resulting in unparalleled resistance to corrosion that makes it perfectly suitable for extreme chemical, medical, and aerospace environments.
