Tantalum R05400 bars and rods contain highly pure tantalum with a minimum of 99.95% purity. The controlled elements are oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, carbon, and iron; each is generally less than 0.01%. They exhibit excellent mechanical properties: tensile strength is in the range 207–345 MPa, yield strength between 140 and 275 MPa, and elongation from 25% to 50%. Tantalum R05400 offers excellent thermal stability with a density of 16.6 g/cm³ and a melting point of up to 2996°C. Its hardness is between 90–120 HV, which ensures high ductility and resistance to deformation, thereby making it an ideal material for critical applications in extreme chemical, medical, and aerospace environments.

Store Tantalum R05400 bars and rods in a clean, dry environment away from moisture and corrosive substances. Use protective covers or packaging to prevent contamination, scratches, or physical damage during storage.
Tantalum R05400 can withstand extremely high temperatures, up to approximately 3,000°C (5,432°F) in a vacuum or inert atmosphere. Its excellent heat resistance makes it ideal for high-temperature applications.
Tantalum R05400 bar and rods are heavily used where corrosion-resistance and lasting durability in materials are required. In chemical processing, they are used for heat exchangers, reactor vessels, and piping system that conduces highly aggressive acids, such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid.
